This is one of the very few remaining wildlife corridors and part of the much needed green belt. Oakworth has reached saturation point regarding traffic, the local health centre is overloaded, schools are full. There are enough house building projects on the go eg Ebor Lane and Occupation Lane to provide housing plus the new estate in Bogthorn where houses remain unoccupied.
