Pasture Avenue site has trees and marshy grass that sustain many species of insects, birds and small animals ( and some larger). There is not good road access and this end of the village is prone to bad flooding in heavy rain. The fields below by the heritage path are often waterlogged in recent wet seasons. The heritage walk in the woodland below would be negatively impacted and the run off after housing built would be far more excessive than now with a quantity of trees and natural marsh grass absorbing it.
