Oakworth has expanded to capacity. The roads through the village are narrow and will be even more gridlocked. The school can't expand more, there are no local GPs based at the sugery, those from the modality cluster are on a rota; there is no local dentist; there are insufficient shops. The green fields are precious and need to be retained. If there has to be expansion then on brownfield sites: by Providence Mill Chimney or car parks below Oakworth Station and lots of screening with trees.
