Representation ID: 26785

Received: 24/03/2021

Respondent: Lucy Roy

Representation Summary:

Green Belt exceptional circumstances not demonstrated. No appreciation of cultural, historical, recreational or environmental aspects.

No consideration of the pandemic effects and Brexit. 2021 census should inform future planning.

No information provided on road impact. It is inconsistent with the Council’s climate emergency declaration.
Concern it will release further development sites, increase air pollution and traffic.

Area provides access to green space for walking, running, cycling, riding etc. Its development will impact health.

Area is biodiverse and home to hundreds of threatened species. No assessment of the environmental impact of development, especially ancient woodland. Building in it would be an ecological disaster.

Development will lead to flooding further down the valley. Flood risk assessment is vital.

Green space has been used by the community for many years. Concerning that developers plan to ruin it. All areas should have access to untouched green space. There are plenty of other sites for new housing. Wildlife should not have to suffer.
