Draft Bradford District Local Plan - Preferred Options (Regulation 18) February 2021

Representation ID: 2884

Received: 21/03/2021

Respondent: Mr Mark Lyness

Representation Summary:

This prime piece of land is not the right place to introduce housing.

the land could be used to bring more footfall into the city centre, an area to introduce more developments that bring much more value than housing.
Example : this would a great site for a "west Yorkshire Exhibition Hall" a large tin shed/exhibition space for business events ,car shows, indoor exhibitions and events. located next to a multi story, eating and leisure area and hotel with great access to the ring road and M606. this would bring much greater value to the city centre over housing. Alternatively extend the leisure park next door to accommodate more leisure activities. More reasons to visit the city centre would increase the daytime and nighttime footfall and make the centre more of a go to location.
