Manningham, which is considered to be Bradford’s premier Victorian suburb, has all four of its Conservation Areas on the 2020 Heritage at Risk Register. Given the significance of this area, the strategy should be
emphasising that a heritage-led approach to regeneration
should be adopted as a means of reinvigorating this part of the City.
Local Areas Strategy and Plan –
Manningham, amend the first sentence of the first bullet point to read:
‘Significant new housing growth from the
area which is a key location for heritage-led
regeneration as a means of reinvigorating
this part of the City whist conserving its
distinctive local character and rich historic
environment.’
