We welcome that a key element of the Local Area Strategy for Baildon includes:
 Ensuring that future development conserves and
enhances key heritage assets and their settings within
and adjacent to the settlement including the three
Conservation Areas and Listed Buildings as well as nondesignated heritage assets. Development on the western part of the settlement should ensure they do not impact on the setting of the Saltaire World Heritage Site.
We have concerns about the potential impact which
housing allocations proposed in Baildon might have upon
elements which contribute towards the Outstanding
Universal Value of the World Heritage Site at Saltaire.
The Council must demonstrate that allocations for
development in Baildon are deliverable in a manner which would safeguard those the Outstanding Universal Value of the Saltaire.
