Draft Bradford District Local Plan - Preferred Options (Regulation 18) February 2021

Representation ID: 29269

Received: 29/03/2021

Respondent: Historic England

Representation Summary:

The western boundary of the site is close to the Grade II listed Dean House. Two further Grade II Listed Buildings are to the north-west of the site. The development of this area could harm elements which contribute to the significance of this designated heritage asset. Whilst the setting of this building has experienced significant change with the recent development on the east side of Allerton Lane it is still necessary to consider the impact of the development of this site on this designated heritage asset. If allocated, the Plan should make it clear that development proposals for this area would need to ensure that those elements which contribute to the significance of this heritage asset are not harmed.
Site NW15/H, add the following additional Development Consideration to the site pro forma:
‘Development should conserve and, where possible, enhance those elements which contribute to the significance of heritage assets in the vicinity of the site.’
