Draft Bradford District Local Plan - Preferred Options (Regulation 18) February 2021

Representation ID: 30355

Received: 23/03/2021

Respondent: Mrs Anne Thompson

Representation Summary:

The village map showing the suggested sites is at least ten years out of date and does not show any of the housing developments during this period, e.g. opposite AD6/H is a development of 22 houses.

The Draft Bradford local plan suggests a net housing increase of 10.3% in Addingham, a "local service centre", which is considerably in excess of most other centres - there seems to be no justification for this (Ilkley, a "principal town", has only a suggested increase of 4.2%). Our recently adopted Neighbourhood Plan showed that housing development requirements could be met without using any of our green belt sites!
