I have loved walking through and around Tong Park for many years. This is a beautiful oasis and walking outdoors, experiencing the bio diverse surroundings, enjoying the nature and wildlife has been vital for my ongoing mental and physical health and wellbeing. I am sure this will be the case for many others.
Please find an alternative piece of land to build on. As there will be many offices and factories closing due to the effects of the pandemic, I feel very strongly that this type of already developed land should be redeveloped rather than ruining a green space that is highly valued by the local community and upon which wildlife depends.
