This expansive area is a potentially important habitat and stepping stone in the village's green corridor, especially since it adjoins Marchup Ghyll nature reserve across the road. Development of the site is also likely to have spillover effects on the nature reserve, such as through noise and light pollution as well as increased visitation of the reserve itself. I believe the impacts on the local wildlife will be unacceptably high if the site is developed.
