The development is in an area designated as green belt so should not be considered for development until all sites not in protected areas have been fully utilised.
The development is distant from the small number of services and businesses in the village. Bus services are limited and not conveniently close by. All journeys for work, shopping etc will be by therefore be made by car leading to increased pollution and traffic on small residential roads.
The development will add to the urbanisation of the western end of the village and will be visible from a major road access to the village. On its own this will result in a noticeable loss of the attractive rural character of this area. However, it appears to be one of a number of similar developments in this area and together they will have a major negative impact on the local appearance and character.
