Draft Bradford District Local Plan - Preferred Options (Regulation 18) February 2021

Representation ID: 3389

Received: 22/03/2021

Respondent: Mrs Louise Dawson

Representation Summary:

Queensbury has suffered from a lack of investment e.g. closure of the swimming pool and council library and an increase in house building. At the moment many of the closest amenities to Queensbury are in Calderdale. There are no employment opportunities within the village, the schools are oversubscribed, and congestion is severe, particularly in the centre of the village. Will the council commit to ensuring additional infrastructure e.g. increase in school places, better road infrastructure return of council services to ensure the current and increased population have the services available to sustain them before building work commences? Will the council commit to ensuring the development of PDL, green field and green belt land in that order?
