Draft Bradford District Local Plan - Preferred Options (Regulation 18) February 2021

Representation ID: 3513

Received: 22/03/2021

Respondent: Ms Marcia McGrail

Representation Summary:

76 houses on yet another piece of wholly inappropriate Green Belt land simply re-designated at a whim to cater for housing greed.
A possible 140+ extra vehicles on a road network nearing capacity on roads that were simply not built for the volume of traffic.
This is not just a well-loved vista for both residents and visitors to lovely Baildon but also part of the heritage views - why this execrable determination to destroy it? No amount of compensatory improvements or landscape buffering will make good the loss of such a fine view nor improve the excessive sprawl encroachment, no matter what lip service to 'sensitive design'.
Well-established woodland and the resultant habitats are also at risk...once it's gone, it's gone.
Leave our green open beautiful places alone before they are lost forever.
