The fields belonging to Hunterland are not for sale. Even if they were this site of 3 fields AD7/H with traffic opening on to Silsden Road would be detrimental to the wildlife reservation on the opposite side of the road. Silsden Road is already a dangerous road with many drivers ignoring the current speed restrictions. Additional traffic would also increase the difficulty people have in crossing the road from the bus stop and to get to two of the allotments sites across the road. If the traffic was routed up through Lister’s Field onto Turner Lane then a huge number of cars would be channeled into a narrow road, unsuitable for increased traffic with no exit onto the roundabout forcing cars up and down Moor Lane, already problematic with poor drainage and parked cars and Moor Park Drive which is too narrow and home to many elderly people.
