This is a significant increase in the number of homes in Long Lee and Thwaites Brow, the connecting roads for this area (Park Lane and Thwaites Brow Road) are not suitable for heavy traffic. The bridge and underpass at the bottom of Park Lane regularly cause traffic queues due to the poor design and road layout, Thwaites Brow Road is a very narrow, very steep, cobbled road with tight corners. Neither is suitable for a significant increase in traffic. Further building of this level in this area, must be linked to improved roads
