Draft Bradford District Local Plan - Preferred Options (Regulation 18) February 2021

Representation ID: 4017

Received: 23/03/2021

Respondent: Mrs S Lamb

Representation Summary:

The proposed access route on Moorlands Avenue is not an acceptable option as it is currently used for additional parking for vehicles of nearby houses as there is nowhere else to park, therefore cars can currently only use this route one at a time so is hazardous now for residents without the proposed increase of new housing. It is currently dangerous joining Oakworth road from here because of cars parked in front of their properties on the right hand side of the main road. You cannot always see oncoming traffic. Also, this road is never gritted during winter months and therefore is a dangerous access to and from the main road.

Moorlands Avenue already experiences flooding from the fields at the back of it, should more properties be built the increased risk of flooding will be extremely high. This is not acceptable.

Green belt should be kept as green space
