Draft Bradford District Local Plan - Preferred Options (Regulation 18) February 2021

Representation ID: 4178

Received: 23/03/2021

Respondent: Miss Elaine Ackroyd

Representation Summary:

I object to this proposal on the grounds that its access onto Silsden Road is dangerous. It is too close to the major roundabout at the top. Opposite the site the traffic speed changes up to 40mph. There have been numerous accidents on this road with traffic speeding in both directions. Extra cars from the site would also be hazardous to children and their families accessing the adjacent recreation ground. If traffic were to use an (improved) Turner Lane access there would be an added increase to traffic coming from the other proposed sites above Moor Lane. Moor Park Drive would inevitably be used as a "rat-run" to avoid all the extra traffic using Moor Lane.
