Representation ID: 4197

Received: 23/03/2021

Respondent: Mrs Jennifer Fowler

Representation Summary:

The of the Bronte Way walk runs through the centre of the proposed building site, the walk starts in Cleckheaton through Thornton finishing in Lancashire, passing along the way the 3 Bronte stones ,one of each in Thornton Cemetary , Ogden and Haworth, all relating to the Bronte family, as mentioned by Michael Stewart in the 'Bronte Stones Project'.
The fields have many springs, where newts have been seen, also frequent sights of bats, owls and kestrals.
These green fields have been used to graze cattle for many many years, together with many paths also used historically
The point of access to the site is where parked cars have been written off due to vehicles coming down Thornton Rd, it is a very busy highway.
There appears to be some confusion on the plans regarding the number of houses planned 150 or 50
