It makes no sense to destroy an important and pleasant site situated within a conservation area for the benefit of 9 properties. If we say yes to plans such as this then what is the point of having a conservation area, an AONB, a green belt or a green field? There's a pleasing aspect to the vista as you walk to the park which seems churlish to destroy.
