KY18/H is a large site with a proposed 103 dwellings situated on Moss Carr Road. It is a greenfield site in an area of Thwaites that is used by the local residents for recreational purposes and would be detrimental to the wellbeing of the local community if it were to be built on. Moss Carr Road is a narrow road but especially so at the access point of this site. Due to the type of housing already built on Moss Carr Road many vehicles are parked both sides of the road due to the lack of driveways, there are no footpaths and vehicles travelling this road need to proceed with extreme caution.
In addition to the traffic problems on Moss Carr Road the extra traffic would cause the already dangerous junction between Moss Carr Raod, Thwaites Brow Road, Long Lee Lane and Calton Road to become even more hazardous.
