Draft Bradford District Local Plan - Preferred Options (Regulation 18) February 2021

Representation ID: 5060

Received: 24/03/2021

Respondent: Dr Andrew Dawson

Representation Summary:

The traffic in Queensbury is already horrendous, especially at the crossroads in the centre of the village. It can take in excess of 10 minutes to get across the crossroads at peak times, which is significantly increasing the pollution from cars that the village is experiencing. As the routes along which cars queue include at least one primary school, as well as the village shops, this generates a health hazard for the residents.
The facilities in Queensbury are already overcrowded. Primary schools are oversubscribed, I have to travel to Bingley to see a dentist as none of the local instances will take me on as an NHS patient and it is getting difficult to get a doctor's appointment due to the number of people who need access to the services.
The council also closed the library and the swimming pool!
When will the council provide decent resources to the area?
