Respondent: Mrs Christine Graham

Representation Summary:

KY18 is a greenfield site. The Moss Carr Road is particularly narrow and owing to the type of houses built, many vehicles are parked both sides of the road due to the lack of driveways and vehicles have to proceed with extreme caution. The proposed site is waterlogged and extremely boggy. Excess water from the Crag flows unrestricted and the drains already do not cope with this. The site backs onto Moss Carr Avenue the gardens of which are regularly flooded. It should be noted that the land in the Victorian era was used for mines and when mines collapsed these were not excavated nor were the bodies of the miners who died below ground.

Access is poor to the site and the development has its only exit from Moss Carr Road via a busy crossroads which has poor visibility.
