KY19 is a greenfield site. The land is boggy and waterlogged as can be seen at the village hall adjacent to the proposed development where a pump was installed by BMDC is in operation 24/7 to drain away the water. In heavy rain the pump is unable to cope with the excess water which in turn drains onto the adjacent fields. The Crag is directly above this land. The proposed access is close to a busy crossroads and with its poor visibility from all roads there have been numerous near misses. HGV use the entrance to this road as a turning circle once the drivers realise they can't access the by-pass via the historical cobbled road.

The impact of proposing to accommodate a further 142 dwellings (KY18+KY19) with 2 cars per household minimum would need serious traffic intervention measures.
