Representation Summary:

The iconic vista of the Cow and Calf rocks on the entry road into Ilkley is part of what makes Ilkley such a tourist hotspot. It has retained it's Victorian charm and should be cherished for future generations. It seems that open countryside is now being used to build houses which ruins the green corridor between villages and will result in urbanisation of a country town. Furthermore with a history of flooding to the main road here and further up towards Burley the residents might get cut off in flood times. There are plenty of brown sites available throughout the district so why choose a flood risk picturesque part of the town. I can see no benefit of building this estate when other areas are more suitable.
