Draft Bradford District Local Plan - Preferred Options (Regulation 18) February 2021

Representation ID: 5778

Received: 24/03/2021

Respondent: Mr John Fitzpatrick

Representation Summary:

1. Increased traffic in Langley Lane.
2. Increased danger to schoolchildren walking to school caused by the increase in traffic.
3. Destruction of the beauty of Tong Park Valley.
4. The development would also border the historic Ladderbanks Lane. It is a popular country walk which, along much of its length, has many mature trees and appears to be far from any development. If the green belt area in question were to built on, much of this walk would become just another urban path; the space, openness and beauty along the path would be lost, reducing the value and attraction of any recreational activities such as walking and cycling.
5. The varied wild life will be driven into a reduced space in the valley bottom, thereby, eventually reducing the biodiversity of this valley.
6. Increased risk of flooding caused by water run-off from the paved surfaces of the development
