Flooding on Bridge Lane is becoming more frequent each year, both from the river and drainage from the moor via underground streams/culverts crossing the area.
Car parking is a major problem and this development will add to it. Also Bridge Lane is used as a cut through from Skipton, cars frequently speed at peak times. Access to the development will be close to a sharp bend.
Old Bridge and Riverside area is a conservation area of notable environmental and historical interest which should be protected.
