Draft Bradford District Local Plan - Preferred Options (Regulation 18) February 2021

Representation ID: 6171

Received: 07/04/2021

Respondent: Daniel Houchen

Representation Summary:

I would like to object to the plans to build a potential 40 house development at the above site on the following grounds:

1. The increase in traffic in an already extremely busy area would increase the danger to children and also the carbon footprint of the area.
2. The access to Baildon C of E School would be also affected by the increase in traffic and again increase the safety concerns of children.
3. The site which is potentially to be built on is a fantastic green belt area in which all local families take their children for walks on and any such building would seriously diminish access to Tong Park and also make the area, which is known for its natural beauty, a much uglier area by replacing fields for bricks.
4. The Baildon C of E school (and others in Baildon) are already subscribed an any increase in houses / families would put even more pressure on the schools and local amenities.
