This is green belt farm land, you should be building on brownfield sites.
The geography of the location is unsuitable for development due to
ongoing flooding issues that have plagued this land for decades.
Access to this area would be very difficult and would need huge expensive road infrastructure when brownfield land is in abundance and easily accessible.
Old mine workings exist on this land.
Question.am I right in believing this land has been purchased by the council?
