Having lived very close to the school on Maple Avenue in Oakworth for a number of years, we moved last September to the outskirts of the village as we had had enough of the traffic, inconsiderate driving and lack of respect for residents who live on the streets around the school and coop. It’s dangerous at times and a stressful environment to live amongst, with no consideration for local residents. The school in the village at capacity and will struggle to cope with more children and the extra traffic that creates adds further risk of accidents and anti-social behaviour. Living there we witnessed this daily. The traffic through the village, past the school also gets very conjested as there is a single road and many points of access (roundabout, bus stop, park). This is a place where lots of children walk and more traffic will pose a bigger risk.
