The proposed access from Glenview Road and Glenview Drive will significantly increase flows through the Nab Wood Estate leading to road safety issues. These roads are already heavily used as rat runs and for this reason traffic calming measures and a 20mph speed restriction have been implemented with limited success.
Allocation as housing is likely to increase traffic flows by up to 300 vehicles a day in a quiet and safe residential neighbourhood, leading to longer traffic queues and increased pollution at the junction of New Close Road and the A650 Bradford Road.
For these reasons, I do not support this proposal
