We oppose the building of houses for the following..
Loss of natural view and open walking area, too much traffic, more pollution, threat to wildlife,
Use brown belt sites instead and regenerate empty properties
Are the new houses affordable to people in this area
Are schools and local amenities suitable to cope with 150 extra families in this already populated area
New houses would split public footpaths spoiling the area
Glenview Drive to be the access point for traffic, it’s already a popular rat run and not able to cope with the high volume of extra traffic, especially at peak times
The fields surrounding Cottingley Cliffe Road are littered with old mines and also have poor drainage
If Bradford district is to offer 1200 new houses, why are the majority going in this area alone
We think the area is completely unsuitable for the amount of new properties proposed
