Draft Bradford District Local Plan - Preferred Options (Regulation 18) February 2021

Representation ID: 6696

Received: 09/03/2021

Respondent: Tom Ford

Representation Summary:

Moss Carr Road is very busy with parked cars and effectively one-way. Additional houses (sites KY18/H & KY19/H) will create unacceptable congestion. Query where people will park and whether road can handle 100 new vehicles using it daily.

Park Lane Bridge needs to be addressed. It has huge amounts of traffic. Were requirements for new development in Long Lee were to tackle this problem but nothing has been done. Query when this will be addressed.

Services in Long Lee do not have the capacity to support additional homes.

KY19/H is Green Belt land and should be protected not destroyed. It is a nature habitat for birds (ducks, geese, herons, stalks).

We enjoy views across the valley to the Yorkshire Dales which are a major asset to our property and strongly object to this changing.

Our rear garden enjoys privacy and seclusion which is an asset to the property and will be damaged by additional development.

Plans should be reviewed to preserve the Long Lee and Moss Carr Road community, habitats for wildlife and stop suburbanisation.
