Draft Bradford District Local Plan - Preferred Options (Regulation 18) February 2021

Representation ID: 691

Received: 03/03/2021

Respondent: Mrs Jane Allcock

Representation Summary:

1. Infrastructure will not support increase in population. GP surgery is currently closed and may not re-open; even if it does, the current surgery is in effect a branch surgery with limited staff and struggles to support current residents. Since the recent developments there has been a greater amount of standing water and a pipe has been fractured causing Sykes Lane to collapse. The village roads are narrow and unsuitable for dealing with more traffic. The proposed emergency access is a private road..
2. The Sykes Lane site is unsuitable. It is on a different level to the road, is in an area with natural springs.
3. There are many vehicles parking along the roads and on pavements, causing problems for through traffic, disabled and pram and pushchair users.
4. It is a rural village that will be spoilt.
