Draft Bradford District Local Plan - Preferred Options (Regulation 18) February 2021

Representation ID: 7308

Received: 07/03/2021

Respondent: James Drake

Representation Summary:

My objection considers the National Planning Policy Framework.
This is greenbelt land and the proposed development here will impact a number of issues:
Loss of view and recreational amenity
It will impact and an area of outstanding natural beauty,
Loss of habitat including deers, rabbits, owls, pheasants, other birds and animals
Loss privacy
Slopes significantly- drainage challenges and stability and heighten flood risks
Increase in cars - the local infrastructure cannot sustain increases in road traffic, traffic congestion issues around the Baildon CofE school. Development along will also impact general traffic flows, increasing congestion, pollution and reducing air quality as an impact of vehicular traffic
There is questionable benefit when more appropriate brownfield or commercial sites could be developed
This development does not comply with Council policy which is committed to a zero carbon future, new homes and cars will not be net-zero carbon
