Representation Summary:

I object to the development of this site because it would be damaging to the ecology of the area at a time when we are facing a climate emergency and also that it would spoil the character and appearance of the local area. Even small green spaces such as this provide areas for wildlife to thrive and also absorb water in a time when flood risks are increasing. Its destruction can only be detrimental to the natural environment. I very regularly walk in Ilkley Park and every time I walk past this stretch I admire and enjoy the view over this little patch of green to Sacred Heart Catholic Church. I strongly believe it would be a mistake to fill yet another little green area of this special town and spoil its character and damage the environment at the same time.
