This land has now reverted to a wildlife area. It was too boggy for a sports field. It has natural springs that have caused water to run down and gather under houses in Bowman Avenue requiring me to insert a land drain and sump. This was partially resolved by creating a birm at the bottom of the field. Some properties still suffer a water problem. I am concerned that building on these springs will cause these issues to re-emerge. Bowman Avenue has parking problems around school times and the building of more houses with parking for at least 44 cars will only exacerbate this issue. Access to this site from Bowman Road is very narrow and close to the school entrance and a builder may attempt to access from Bowman Avenue affecting our quality of life with increased through traffic when completed and construction vehicles initially.
