Draft Bradford District Local Plan - Preferred Options (Regulation 18) February 2021

Representation ID: 7923

Received: 10/03/2021

Respondent: Bradford District Ward Councillor (Conservative)

Representation Summary:

I object to the two proposed sites between Honey Pot Lane and Dene Hill, Baildon, as I feel it is essential that brownfield sites should be given priority and not green field.
A proposal to build on these sites would greatly increase the amount of traffic which is already grid-locked in the area due to the fact that whilst building over many years
there has never been any improvement to infrastructure. On land at the back of Stubbings Road there has been recent severe flooding which has gone as far as Shipley Glen Tramway so any more building will create more water but where will it go?

The greenbelt area is used by masses of walkers, both local and visitors, and it is essential that everyone can enjoy the scenery whilst at the same having essential exercise for their well-being.
