Draft Bradford District Local Plan - Preferred Options (Regulation 18) February 2021

Representation ID: 8647

Received: 15/03/2021

Respondent: John Haston

Representation Summary:

Access - Moss Carr Road is already incredibly busy with parked cars, and much of the street is effectively a one-way system now. Congestion will be unacceptable. Query where people will park and whether road to handle extra vehicles.

Park Lane Bridge - Almost a single car at a time and already has huge amounts of traffic. Were requirements years ago that any new development in Long Lee had to tackle the problem - but nothing has been done and houses have been built anyway.

Amenities - Long Lee does not have the capacity to support hundreds of new homes.

Green Belt - this should be/is protected, and not destroyed. It’s a natural habitat for many birds, including ducks, migrating geese and sometimes even herons and storks.

Will have a detrimental effect on wellbeing and affect house prices. Re-think plan to preserve Long Lee/Moss Carr Road community, to preserve habitats and avoid become a congested suburb.
