Draft Bradford District Local Plan - Preferred Options (Regulation 18) February 2021

Representation ID: 9123

Received: 15/03/2021

Respondent: Joanne Pybus

Representation Summary:

Moss Carr Road cannot and should not support 142 new houses

Access - Moss Carr Road is very busy with parked vehicles and effectively one-way. Additional houses (sites KY18/H & KY19/H) will create unacceptable congestion. Queried where people will park and whether the road can handle additional vehicles.

Park Lane Bridge - Has huge amounts of traffic. Requirement years ago that development in Long Lee had to tackle the problem, but nothing done.

Amenities - No capacity to support hundreds of new homes.

Green Belt - site is Green Belt and should be protected, not destroyed. It is a natural habitat for birds (ducks, migrating geese, herons, stalks)

Have watched Long Lee decline over the years due to the over-population and movement in of people who sadly don't seem to respect the village and its history.

The building of modern properties doesn't feel to be in keeping with the rest of the village
