Representation ID: 920

Received: 07/03/2021

Respondent: Mr Dave Thompson

Representation Summary:

Land boarders conservation area, is greenbelt with mature trees, and a well used wildlife corridor and wild meadow with bat's, owels and deer which have lived in the corner and raised young for over 10 years. Only wild meadow around. Oakworth doctors has just closed and school is over subscribed. Access would be through children's play area and significantly increase traffic on pasture avenue which is already busy and could restrict access to emergency services. Oakworth already busy in general and can be difficult to park for access to amenities. Would compromise landscape and encroach on historical/cultural railway children's walk and Keighley worth Valley heritage train line. Would increase urban sprawl towards Howarth. Already a number of ongoing housing developments in the area branshaw Park, occupation lane, ebor mills. Not many jobs in local village will increase carbon footprint and road congestion. Against green policies. Other brown sites available locally
