Draft Bradford District Local Plan - Preferred Options (Regulation 18) February 2021

Representation ID: 9253

Received: 15/03/2021

Respondent: Deborah Rooke

Representation Summary:

Moss Carr Road cannot and should not support 142 new houses,

Access - Moss Carr Road is incredibly busy with parked cars and effectively one-way where single cars can pass at any one time. Additional houses (sites KY18/H & KY19/H) will create unacceptable congestion. Queried where people will park and whether the road can handle additional vehicles.

Park Lane Bridge - Has huge amounts of traffic. Requirement years ago that development in Long Lee had to tackle the problem, but nothing done.

Amenities - No capacity to support hundreds of new homes.

Green Belt - Site is Green and should be protected, not destroyed. It is a natural habitats for birds (ducks, migrating geese, herons, storks).

Re-think the plan in order to preserve the way of life in Long Lee/Moss Carr Road, to preserve the habitat of many wild animals, and to refrain from turning the area into a busy, congested suburb.
