Draft Bradford District Local Plan - Preferred Options (Regulation 18) February 2021

Representation ID: 9517

Received: 15/03/2021

Respondent: Mrs Alison Joy Wilcock

Representation Summary:

Moss Carr Road is incredibly busy with parked cars and effectively one-way where single cars can pass at any one time. Additional houses (sites KY18/H & KY19/H) will create unacceptable congestion. Queried where people will park and whether the road can handle additional vehicles.

Development of 5 new homes towards the end of Moss Carr Road has caused chaos and severe damage to the road surface. The road is never gritted during the winter months making it in passable in some cases.

Park Lane Bridge - Has huge amounts of traffic. Requirement years ago that development in Long Lee had to tackle the problem, but nothing done.

Amenities - No capacity to support hundreds of new homes.

Green Belt - site is Green Belt and should be protected, not destroyed. It is a natural habitat for birds (ducks, migrating geese, herons, stalks)

Will affect long distance views and ruin the beauty of the landscape.
