1. Increase in traffic (already a problem), danger to pedestrians, (primary school children!!), possible increased use of minor surrounding rural roads, disturbance to cemetery tranquility.
2. Increased demand on already inadequate amenities: doctor’s surgery already not coping, tiny dentist, Co-op already overcrowded
3. Increased demand for school places
4. Increase in air and noise pollution
5. Ruined valley views
6. Overuse of footpaths, already in poor condition due to council neglect
7. Knock-on effect on Girlington main junction and maybe Keelham junction
8. Impact on wildlife
9. Increase in litter
I could go on! Please don’t allow this, or any further construction along Thornton Road
