Representation ID: 998

Received: 08/03/2021

Respondent: Mrs Alison Robinson

Representation Summary:

Insufficient primary school places.
Pressure on local secondary school for places.
Too much traffic through Lidget and Oakworth which is already congested.
Too much pressure on amenities, lack of parking for primary school is already a problem on Station Road for local residences, also parking issue for extra visitors to the Co op.
Destruction of green belt land and areas important for wildlife. It has come to light that the owners of the field are currently scaring the deer from the field and as a result they are straying on to the roads which are a traffic hazard on Providence Lane.
Plenty of brownfield sites in Keighley which should be used instead, Dalton Mills for example.
Erosion of village community atmosphere.
Access issues to site using Pasture Avenue to building site.
Construction site issues with heavy vehicles disrupting residents quality of life and being a safety hazard to children.
