The plan for housing / a new road within Tong & Fulneck Valley is sadly just 1 of many in my local area, soon I fear that there won't be any green spaces left for wildlife to live in & for us humans to enjoy. Particularly in the last year, green spaces have become so much more important for both mental & physical wellbeing - they are great places to get exercise; breath in some fresh air & just clear the mind.
I cycle regularly in & around Tong because the roads are quiet so there is less pollution & they are safe and I instantly forget how close I am to 2 large cities, I'm straight into the countryside, surrounded by trees and fields with views for miles into the distance.

Greeen spaces have become so much more important for both mental & physical wellbeing I cycle regularly in & around Tong because the roads are quiet so there is less pollution & they are safe and I instantly forget how close I am to 2 large cities, I'm straight into the countryside, surrounded by trees and fields with views for miles into the distance.I visit Black Carr Woods, Tong Valley and Fulneck on a daily basis either walking our dogs or mountain biking, if you take away this beautiful area you will be taking away an area which I ride and walk on daily.

Spaces like Black Carr Woods and Kit Woods are very rare without having to travel long distances for. They allow you to escape the urban sprawl and allow you to connect with nature and wildlife. Losing this area would have a significant effect on the health and wellbeing of myself and my family, these spaces are rare and precious and should be protected at all costs.

There is very little green space left in the area I walk the valley every day, to have this taken away would be heartbreaking. It is a valuable community resource which should be protected . Are there not plenty of of brown sites that could not be used for housing instead? The green belt should be protected and not used in such a way .
