Draft Bradford District Local Plan - Preferred Options (Regulation 18) February 2021

BU2/H - Scalebor House, Moor Lane (110)
I object to the inclusion of this site because:
• It is green belt
• I understand there is a restrictive covenant on this land which seems to suggest it can only be used for grazing purposes without the consent of all Scalebor residents.
• Access is poor.
• Although there is a railway station nearby trains are usually full at peak times.
• 500 houses have recently been approved for Sun Lane which will have a massive impact on the nature of the village plus put pressure on the roads and other local infrastructure. I feel any further housing in Burley in Wharfedale is unnecessary and would be hugely damaging to the nature of the village.

B13/H - Greenhill Barn, Lady Lane (25)
I object to the inclusion of this site because:
• It is green belt.
• Wildlife concerns.
• Loss of semi mature conifer trees.
• Two listed buildings close by.
• Poor public transport provision.
• The report acknowledges “the site’s access to transport links, services and educational facilities is somewhat limited”.
• The report also acknowledges “the site has major potential for sprawl and would have a major impact on openness”.

BI4/H - Heights Lane (west side), Eldwick
Representation ID: 28601

Respondent: Member of Parliament (Conservative)
Agent: Deborah Davies
B14/H – Heights Lane (West side) (21)
I object to the inclusion of this site because:
• It is green belt.
• It is a narrow road with blind bends and no pavement, well used by many walkers, cyclists, horse riders and not suited to large amounts of traffic.
• It is close to Prince of Wales park and could negatively impact on the natural habitats of birds and other wildlife.
• Potential flooding issues elsewhere in Bingley as this land currently soaks in rain and works to prevent it running downhill to residential areas.
• The junction of Heights Lane/Otley Road/Park Road is already very busy at peak times and unsuitable/unsafe for more traffic.
• The report acknowledges “the site has a major potential for sprawl”.
