Draft Bradford District Local Plan - Preferred Options (Regulation 18) February 2021

Representation Summary:
We are extremely concerned about the environmental impact of the plan to build 155 houses on this area of green belt, in particular, the adverse impact this will have on the bird species in the area. We have concerns about the extra traffic the building of these houses will generate, on the basis that the roads struggle to cope with traffic at current levels. The public services (schools, GP's etc) will also struggle to cope with the extra numbers in the area. Can I ask why the council is considering building on green belt when there are a significant number of empty buildings in Bradford city centre, which it should convert/ knock down and replace with housing?
