I cannot see how it will be possible to fit twenty dwellings into this site. They must be very dense, cheap boxes. Is this exactly the sort of development that this gateway to the town needs? No. As the site is over a mile from the centre of Ilkley each will probably use a car into town. There is no mention of road improvement to accommodate it along Skipton Road into the bottle neck of Church St. Beyond the travel where will they park? The town already suffers with parking problems despite recent alterations and the introduction of parking fees. Egress onto the overloaded A65 will be a nightmare.
