For the amount of housing that surrounds this area there few other safe open grassed spaces for families, children and everyone to enjoy. This area provides a safe space, allowing access to exercise and enjoyment of open space that otherwise cannot be accessed within reasonable distance, without navigating major busy roads and routes that surround the area. Clearly attractive to property developers on the edge of saltaire the £££ signs will be in their eyes. Depriving the local people of this space will be a huge mistake. This could this also contribute to flooding down the hill on the river and coach road areas if open grass space is removed? The extra pressure on the smaller roads that people already use as rat runs could become a major issue with additional housing and traffic.
